Let me preface this review by saying this is not a dive by any means. Any establishment that serves alcohol, we will score. This establishment is considered a “beer garden”, whatever that means.
Do you want to be shoulder-to-shoulder? Or be around hundreds of college dudes named Chad? If so, this is the bar for you. I visited this bar for the first time in 2021 with some of my friends. We were just out of college at the time, and even the people at this bar seemed very young. Yeah, I understand it is a college bar on a gameday, no shit the people are going to be young. But this was the first college bar we went to out of college and all three of us noticed it. As far as the bar set-up itself, the place was huge, tv’s everywhere and they had about every beer you could want. Being it was a gameday, prices were pretty expensive and there was quite literally nowhere to sit in the whole place. I mean the place was jam-packed. Everyone was watching the premier college football game, Bama vs. FL. Overall, there was nothing that stood out about this bar and if I was going to Austin again, I would not make it a mission to visit this bar. If I was a college kid, would this bar be cool? Absolutely. Outside of that, there is no chance I would willingly want to visit this bar again.
Décor: This place looked like every other trendy bar, nothing special. They had uncomfortable metal chairs throughout and not much signage on the walls, they were missing the “unique” factor.
Prices: Once again, it was a game day, so I am giving the place the benefit of the doubt, but it was pricey, more expensive than what you would like to pay for a domestic beer.
Service: For how packed the bar was, the service was great. We got beers quickly and they flowed through the lines very fast.
Atmosphere: Once again Chad’s and shoulder-to-shoulder, enough said.
Cleanliness: The place was surprisingly clean, what it looks like at midnight after a gameday, now that is a different story.
