Bar: The Warehouse
Location: 18 E. River St, Savannah GA 31401
Score: 8.1/10
Located in Savannah, Georgia, The Warehouse is in a prime location on Savannah’s waterfront. Surrounded by dozens of bars and restaurants, the Warehouse is a popular destination for its cold beer, wings, and TVs scattered around the bar. Before I truly dive into this review (dive, get it). Let me just start by saying if you have not visited Savannah, add it to your bucket list. This city is a combination of Charleston, SC, and New Orleans. It has the southern class and charm of Charleston while some of the grimness and historical architecture of New Orleans. It is a very fascinating city that has a rich history and has an open container policy for its alcohol, similar to NOLA.
Anyways, back to the review. The Warehouse is a noticeable bar from the street as it stands out from its brick front and a sign that advertises the coldest, cheapest beer in town. While I can agree with the coldest beer portion of that claim, it was not all that cheap. $5 for a draft Miller Lite is about what I would expect. This is not the most expensive beer in town, but it is also not the cheapest within the city by any means. Once you enter the bar you are greeted by a bartender and or a server almost immediately. The service itself was great. The brick outside of the building carries inside the bar along with a hefty amount of beer signage on the walls.
The absolute best and most noticeable part of the Warehouse is something I have never seen in my life. Each table at the bar has a mini TV to watch any game you want. They have a separate remote for each TV, making this very convenient to watch games along with the other larger TVs around the bar. I was blown away by this concept. This was such an incredible concept that more bars should mimic it. If I ever find myself in a position of any political power, this would be the first thing I would mandate. Mini TVs at each table. This is something everyone can agree upon, more bars need this.
Other than the revolutionary idea of having TVs at each table, the Warehouse left more to be desired. My hopes were very high when I saw the location and brick facing of the bar, yet I walked away wanting more. Would I go to this bar again? Absolutely. But other bars in Savannah are king compared to the Warehouse. Nonetheless, if you are in Savannah it is worth it to stop by and have a few cold ones to combat the humid Savannah summers.
Décor: Brick, Brick, and more brick. The walls also had tons of signage and the TVs at the tables were unmatched.
Prices: Priced at par with most of the bars in Savannah. Some were cheaper, some were more expensive.
Service: A+ Service. I did not go more than 10 minutes at a time without interacting with a server.
Atmosphere: Great atmosphere. Georgia was playing at the time, which had the bar packed watching their Bulldogs.
Cleanliness: The bar was well-maintained and clean throughout. No red flags for this category.
