Bar: Crowley’s

Crowley’s is located in Cincinnati, OH. This bar does all the little things right that you’d wanna see in an Irish pub. As mentioned before, I struggle rating Irish pubs because most of them hit the mark. Having authentic decor, a great Guinness pour, and a selection of Irish beer is about all I look for. At Crowley’s the facade was phenomenal, it was very authentic and different from most Irish pubs. Walking into the bar, I knew I’d be having a few beers at this spot, which is different from most of my crawls being one-and-done. They had an awesome selection of beer on tap and in bottles, along with great Irish decor.
As you’d expect everything was wood, leather, and tons of green. The main difference to me was seeing lighter-toned wood vs darker wood. Personally, darker wood is what I see more often than not. It made the place feel a tad lighter and not nearly as dark as some pubs I’ve visited. I didn’t mind it, honestly. The floor itself you could tell told some stories, the floor was rather aged, but looked perfect to me. The bar had the most comfortable leather chairs and was a great spot to watch a game.
Some older, passionate Northerner Red Sox fans were watching the Orioles vs the Red Sox, screaming at every call, as one could expect. Everyone in the bar was super friendly making it a welcoming experience. The best part of the bar was the Guinness pour. One of the better ones I’ve had thus far. It was made perfect with a great head and a reasonable cost if I remember correctly.
The funniest part of this bar was the bathroom situation, the urinal could not have been closer/more level to the sink, it was utterly ridiculous, yet perfect at the same time. I’ll make sure to include a picture of this in my Instagram post.
All in all, this is a solid bar in a very cool area within Cincy. Lots of opportunities to bounce around to different spots or just camp at Crowley’s all day. The decision is yours. Both will be right.
Price: pretty fair for the area, fair prices.
Decor: standard Irish decor, nothing better.
Service: A+, did a great job of timing up my current Guinness pint to when I needed another. This is important with how long they take to pour properly.
Atmosphere: great for mid-day on a Friday
High Life Bottle?: I don’t recall
Bonus Points: None
