When I walked into the Huntridge Tavern the smell of stale cigs filled the air. Much like a lot of the older Vegas dives, this bar was a glimpse into what Vegas looked like when it was at its peak. While I will never truly be able to experience “old Vegas”, going to the older dives let me reminisce on what it was like. 

The Huntridge Tavern is tucked away into a strip mall and does not have all the much signage from the outside of the bar, it presents itself as a “if you know, you know” type of joint. I would not have stumbled on this place if it was not for the recommendation of one of my followers. 

Much like the other Vegas bars, Huntridge Tavern had a nice array of casino games at the high top of the bar, kindly reserving these spots for players only.

What stood out to me about this bar compared to some of the other Vegas dives I have visited was the amount of neons that filled the walls. Vintage neons as well, collectible signage that lit up the dim bar that was the Huntridge Tavern. Another thing was how diverse of a drink selection they had. 

Going to these older bars, it is typically a crap shoot, they either have 4-5 beers or it seems like endless options, while the latter is more rare, it is still entirely possible. The Huntridge Tavern fell on this spectrum, they had more beer options than I could comprehend and about every Red Bull flavor imaginable, if you are into that. The Huntridge Tavern had at least 5-6 different beer tap set ups, and all looked operational, not sure why they were all scattered, but everywhere I looked behind the bar, I noticed a different tap that I haven’t seen before. The gem of this bar was the High Life on tap, an absolute unicorn I have only seen a few times in the wild. 

Overall, Huntridge is a solid spot, a local spot, a classic spot. It is not too far around the trip and there are a few other bars nearby that are within crawling distance. So get your ass in the Uber, go over to the Huntridge and have a pint or 10.  

Price: $4 Millers, some of the better prices I saw

Decor: Killer decor, neons on every wall.

Service: They can pour a mean beer

Atmosphere: I bet this place is awesome when its packed, really need to start visiting some of these bars at nighttime. 

High Life Bottle?: You bet your ass they had it.
